JULY 2026

“July 20 is the official first opening day of the Little Sitka Marina, named after the 37 foot steamboat, that was the first steam powered vessel to sail up the Sacramento River to Sutter’s Fort.”

As June comes to a close, we will be able to take a breath after a busy couple of months. July warms up and as it does so, the patio becomes a hit or miss proposal. This year however, that might all change as the marina comes into the picture.

July 20 is the official first opening day of the Little Sitka Marina, named after the 37 foot steamboat, that was the first steam powered vessel to sail up the Sacramento River to Sutter’s Fort.  The marina built in 2008 for the Le Rivage Hotel, later the Westin Sacramento Riverfront Hotel and Spa. The Westin owners have invested heavily in restoring this beautiful marina and all the work has been done, the elevators are working, the dock is ready to go. Jerry Wolcott is the Harbormaster, who can be reached at 916 443 8400. Slips are now available to rent.

We are excited to be part of this exciting, long-awaited venture. Guests will now be able to pull up in their boats and join us for breakfast, lunch, dinner or brunch. Cocktails and snacks in the lounge are also an option. It’s a whole new way of thinking about the Westin and Scott’s on the River! All aboard!

As always, thank you for your support and here’s to a busy summer on the river!
