Actually the Westin Sacramento and Scott’s on the River are on a very sustainable method of heating and cooling. It is a LEED certified building, relying on hot and cold water constantly circulating throughout the building to both heat and cool depending on the building’s needs. Pretty cool! Literally!

Chardonnays, always our best sellers, have a terrific range of flavors, from the light and crisp Excelsior from South Africa to the wonderful newcomer Newton, a beautifully integrated wine with great complexity but a light touch.
My wife and I recently had lunch in Napa Valley accompanied by a glass of Groth Sauvignon Blanc, which was so good, we had to add it to our wine list. It is crisp, but not overly acidic, has a round mouthfeel and is complex and lingering. Delicious! Another addition is the Ehler’s Lane “Portrait”, a red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petite Verdot. It is a beautifully balanced wine, approachable but with great depth of character.
On the menu front, the Burrata Salad with heirloom tomatoes, pesto and balsamic drizzle is a summer marvel. Tomatoes in season, not to be missed! The Seared Scallops with Saffron Risotto is perfect for a summer evening by the River and don’t miss the Ahi Poke Tacos, a tasty and fun starter!
It appears that the supply chain has taken its toll on Dom Perignon, but we have been able to get a hold of Louis Roederer Cristal, a great Luxury Champagne!
Despite all of our ongoing challenges with supply, costs and labor shortages, our creative geniuses keep things fresh and new, with both our traditional offerings and different seasonal dishes.
